A Call to Rise

A religion scholar speaks with heart aflame,
Of how Donald Trump stirs the Christian name.
Through rhetoric and actions, he ignites,
“The Christian enemies of democracy” in flight.

No longer bound to values of love and grace,
A darker path they choose to embrace.
Manipulated by a puppeteer’s strings,
Their sacred principles twisted, broken, it seems.

But let us not despair, let hope abide,
For truth and justice shall surely be our guide.
With unity and compassion, we’ll mend this schism,
And reclaim the essence of our Christian prism.

Courage, empathy, and understanding demand,
That we restore the faith, held in our hand.
For in these times, we must remain true,
To the teachings of Christ, to the values we pursue.
