Blinded Roadways
Blinded Roadways
Night’s shroud descends upon the land,
As beams of brilliance blur and dazzle,
A surge in drivers, dazed and grand,
As headlights pierce, an intrusive hassle.
Once dimmed, these glowing eyes of streets,
Now radiant, intense, and glaring,
A blinding glare our judgment meets,
On roads where caution should be swearing.
Reckless light pierces through the dark,
The RAC grants blame, and justly so,
Brighter LEDs, a vibrant spark,
Obscure our visions, confusing the flow.
SUVs perch high and mighty,
Ascending roads with commanding might,
But added height causes beams too flighty,
Impeding visibility, a dangerous sight.
Dismay consumes those once steady,
Their eyes, now weary, strained, and worn,
Where lies the answer, at road’s ready?
To veil the brilliance, and shadows adorn.
In this race against the tides of light,
Seek solace in solutions anew,
Illuminate safety, restore our sight,
Dim the dazzle, and wisdom ensue.
