Tainted Lessons
Tainted Lessons
What a shame to hear, students misled with zeal
In classrooms where enlightenment should truly appeal
A poisoned curriculum, divisive in its core
Tainting young minds with hatred, teaching to abhor.
Should a beaming youth ever be taught to applaud
When terror takes hold, and innocent lives are marred?
Is it just and fair to let young minds embrace
An ideology of violence, masked with misplaced grace?
Oh, education, your duty is to enlighten and inspire
To shape open minds, fostering empathy higher
Yet here lies a failure, a grievous injustice done
As impressionable hearts are molded under this harmful sun.
But lo, a glimmer of hope, an investigation’s launch
To probe this misguidance, to unveil the truth that’s staunch
May justice be served, and these tainted teachings erased
From the innocent classrooms where trust must be based.
Let wisdom prevail, let compassion guide our way
As we seek to rectify this dark, divisive display
For the minds of tomorrow deserve clarity and light
Not shadows of hatred, perpetuating perpetual night.
Oh, let us cleanse the corridors of knowledge and thought
From prejudice and bias, let the truth be sought
May this be a turning point, a lesson we must learn
To ensure education, a sacred torch, continue to burn.
