A Shattered Reality
Title: A Shattered Reality
I walked my children through the fires of hell,
Past the echoes of anguish and shattered dreams,
Through alleyways stained with tears and despair,
In a grim dance with death, it seems.
The smoke-filled skies whispered tales of sorrow,
As fear and uncertainty consumed our souls,
A haunting symphony of destruction and woe,
Echoing through the streets’ jagged holes.
The stench of rotting corpses filled the air,
Remnants of lives obliterated by hate,
In the midst of despair, resilience we share,
Seeking solace against this monstrous fate.
Yet, amongst the rubble and whispered cries,
Hope flickers, fragile but resolute,
A candle lit in the darkest of skies,
Binding us together, refusing to dilute.
Though scars remain etched upon our hearts,
We rise, united, determined to heal,
For love transcends borders, divisions depart,
A testament to our collective zeal.
