Disillusioned Drift

Disillusioned Drift

Title: Disillusioned Drift

Another year, another disappointment,
Mitchell Robinson’s heart left fractured, ajar,
In the realm of dreams, dashed and disjointed,
Leaving the Knicks hanging, beneath a fading star.

Each season held such fervent aspirations,
A promise of triumph, a resounding cheer,
But fate’s cruel hand played cruel machinations,
Leaving shattered hopes, simmering tears.

His spirit aches, wounds inflicted anew,
A relentless cycle, a relentless pain,
As he dons his jersey in orange and blue,
Robbed of glory, once again.

Yet, within the depths of his despair,
A resilient fire flickers, refusing to die,
With every heartbeat, a determination to repair,
And soar again, amidst the boundless sky.

Disillusioned, but undefeated, he stands,
Ready to face the battles that lie ahead,
In this game of life, fortune’s shifting sands,
He rises, fearless, where the weary dread.
