Shadows of Prejudice

Shadows of Prejudice

Title: Shadows of Prejudice

In halls of ivory, where knowledge treasured lies,
A darkness lingers, hidden truths undisguised,
Universities face inquiry, a probing light,
Exposing their handling of antisemitism’s blight.

Students seek enlightenment, free from any bias,
Yet whispers of injustice have society in sighs,
For when hate seeps in, minds can lose their way,
And the seeds of bigotry find fertile ground to sway.

But now the spotlight shines, revealing the unrest,
As Congress takes up the task to put their doubts to test,
Donors, once loyal, now demand an answer true,
To restore faith in institutions they once knew.

The echoes of history reverberate with pain,
Reminding us how intolerance can leave hearts slain,
But in this crucible of learning, we must take a stand,
Erasing prejudice with understanding, hand in hand.

For education’s purpose is to break the shackles of hate,
To foster inclusivity and celebrate diversity’s fate,
With steadfast resolve, we must face this daunting chase,
To cleanse our alma maters, leaving no trace.

So let the inquiry serve as a catalyst for change,
A turning point where progress is no longer estranged,
May universities be sanctuaries of truth and light,
Guiding future generations towards a beacon bright.
