Stolen Pawprints

Stolen Pawprints

Title: Stolen Pawprints

Under the gentle winter’s veil,
On Christmas morn, a thief set sail,
A reckless act, so cold and blind,
Heartstrings stretched, fervent words unwind.

Through bustling streets of NYC,
A French bulldog pranced in glee,
Innocence held within his eyes,
Unaware of the tempest’s lies.

But fate unveiled a cruel surprise,
As darkness descended from the skies,
A teen, consumed by desperate plight,
Brandished a gun, stole peaceful light.

Oh, stolen joy on hallowed day,
A pawprint’s stolen, ripped away,
A city mourns, its spirit cries,
For the lost innocence that slowly dies.

Yet, love ignites a beacon’s glow,
Defiant hearts refuse to bow,
United, hopes and dreams will soar,
In the face of evil, peace restores.
