The memories, once held so dear,
Fade slowly, stained with silent fear,
The brain, a battleground unknown,
She fights for awareness to be shown.

Her child’s essence, dimming lights,
Captured in neurologist’s sights,
The puzzle pieces, scattered, lost,
A mother’s heart, forever crossed.

CTE’s shadow, lurking near,
Ignites her flame, this dreadful fear,
She stands tall, a warrior, brave,
Her love, the life she seeks to save.

One mission burns within her soul,
To shine a light and make them whole,
For every athlete, bound in chains,
For every parent, love remains.

Awareness, strength, and hope they sow,
To conquer CTE’s gripping woe,
Through advocacy, they seek release,
A future where anguish finds its ease.
