The Silent Web

The Silent Web

Title: The Silent Web

Through the digital veil we tread,
A realm where freedom once was spread,
Yet voices stifled, thoughts oppressed,
As censorship infects the virtual nest.

In these 22 states, a plea they raise,
To high courts’ doors in desperate chase,
Urging power to grant control,
To silence those who dare to vocalize their soul.

But oh, what cost will liberty bear,
When words are slain without a care?
Do we trade truth for comforting lies,
And shackle the power of free thought’s rise?

In the realms of cyberspace, a battle ground,
Where truth and falsehoods wildly abound,
Silenced dissent, a treacherous art,
As censorship creeps in, poisoning minds and hearts.

Yet hope lingers in the hearts of free,
A whisper of change, a call to decree,
That no entity, no matter their might,
Can extinguish the fire of truth’s burning light.

For the web was meant to intertwine,
To foster connection, transcending time,
Let us not surrender this gift so vast,
To the hands of those who silence and cast.
