Flames of Truth

Flames of Truth

Title: Flames of Truth

In the shadows of a dark day’s memory,
Where democracy trembled, fraught with despair.
Biden’s voice rises, unwavering in fidelity,
To remind us all, of the truth we must repair.

Whispers of doubt, mingling with partisan fumes,
Republicans mock, labeling it a “fake insurrection.”
But Jan. 6’s resonance cannot be consumed,
For the echoes of chaos reveal the nation’s connection.

Every shattered window pleaded with history,
As the Capitol bore witness to unrest’s reflection.
Yet some deny, believing in a twisted mystery,
Dismissing the flames that engulfed our protection.

But truth shall stand resolute, fierce and unwavering,
A beacon of justice, undeterred by false perception.
We must remember, despite voices clamoring,
Jan. 6 was a stain, an attack on our conception.

Let us not falter, the embers of democracy must rise,
United we stand, to rebuild and mend our collection.
