Duty’s Dawn
Duty’s Dawn
In the kingdom, whispers echo, to and fro,
A heart’s lament, a mother’s sorrow we know,
Kate Middleton, regal grace, believes it’s all a show,
For Prince William’s choice, to Eton’s hallowed halls he’ll go.
A decade lived, Prince George’s childhood bestowed,
Yet a decision made, causing his mother’s tears to overflow,
Heartbroken she stands, with love and concern in tow,
As her young prince embarks on a destiny’s unknown.
A school of prestige, a tradition so revered,
Eton College, where knowledge and tradition are seared,
But amidst the glory, a mother’s heart aches and tears are veered,
For her darling George, leaving home, innocence soon appeared.
Yet with strength, she stands, her love ever steadfast,
Knowing her son’s journey must now be cast,
To mold a future, as duty softly crept past,
Her unwavering support, an embrace that will eternally last.
And so the days pass, as George departs from view,
A mother’s love lingers, prayers unseen and true,
For Eton’s corridors to protect and guide him too,
With every heartbeat, her love will forever imbue.
