Tactics for Advancing

As GOP melts down their fate looks grim,
Dick Durbin plots to keep them from their whim.
In a last grasp they try to obstruct,
Durbin’s plan to quickly erect.

Biden Judges at the ready,
But GOP with no strategy, hurriedly.
Their moves are now the same as Durbin’s,
Exact replicas attempting to counteract his mission.

Flip flop within their queues,
Efforts dried up like childhood dew.
Big talk of filling the court with their vision,
But like their rhetoric, quickly dying to submission.

Using their vows to stall yet again,
The plan succeeds as the deadline draws near.
Dick Durbin knows the score,
Using their tactics for much more.

At last the GOP was outplayed,
For the court vacancies must be filled up soon.
And while this ticks their party off,
Their broken promises do remain as proof.

Unwise to mimic the other’s plan,
The Biden Judges shall forever stand.
As a testament that the GOP cannot fight,
Their failed attempt to keep the court out of sight.
