Whistle of Conscience

Whistle of Conscience

Title: Whistle of Conscience

I want to blow the whistle,
Unveiling shadows, dark and gristle.
Shady practices, concealed from sight,
But bound by the NDA, I fear the light.

My conscience screams, urging release,
To expose the truth, to find my peace.
But promises made, now hold me tight,
A silent witness, choked by the night.

In whispers, secrets no longer contain,
Yearnings to unveil, this moral chain.
The weight of silence, like an anchor’s hold,
Yet freedom, like a treasure, worth more than gold.

Torn between loyalty and a ticking clock,
Bound by silence, chained to this rock.
The right course veiled, obscured by fears,
A whistle suppressed, as injustice sneers.

Shall I risk the consequences, the aftermath?
Break the shackles, take an unwavering path?
To shed light on the shadows, no matter the cost,
And surrender my fear, for the greater exhaust.

Though the NDA holds my tongue in claim,
My heart beats for justice, igniting a flame.
For transparency and truth, my heart aches,
To blow the whistle, for righteousness’ sake.
