Fractured Ties
Title: Fractured Ties
Amidst a land of shared skies, hearts entwined,
Israeli-Palestinian friendships once sublime,
With bonds that transcended hardship and time,
But shattered they became, that fateful morn.
Blood-soaked streets witnessed life’s cruel scorn,
As echoes of violence pierced the dawn,
A rift tore through souls, bitter and forlorn,
Fracturing bonds that felt forever sworn.
From Bethlehem’s fields to Tel Aviv’s shore,
Unity embraced, then lost evermore,
The attack’s raw aftermath forever tore,
Longlasting friendships that will be no more.
Hope, once blooming, now tainted and charred,
The ties that bound now severed and marred,
Yet still, seeds of peace await to be sown,
In the hearts of those who refuse to disown.
