Delaying Democracy

As the democracy moves forward,
The Republications try to delay.
In Arizona, what they have done
Has earned them a formal indictment.

Their attempt to delay the results,
To move democracy back,
For voters in Arizona it was no help
The attempts would never pass the test.

The system of democracy is sacred,
Those elected, to the rule they are pledged.
The Republications in Arizona thought wrong,
The indictment has absolved that pledge.

The election results, that can’t be stalled,
They are the statement of the people’s will.
For those who think to delay or tamper,
In due time, to be judged they will.

The people of Arizona had their say,
The Republications had no say.
The law does not doctrinize election delay,
It requires a different way.

Now as the election is closing,
The Republications have had to pay.
For trying to delay democracy,
They are now indicted in Arizona.
