Story of a Fallen Tree
Strong winds, White House, no more, sadness, shock, collapse
ents to adorn it’s floor,
Unforeseen winds, came with a roar,
Knocking down the 40 ft evergreen, which stood before.
Social media, crying for its loss,
Never expected such a powerful force,
The outcome was sunder, a terrible cost,
The seasonal cheer, just a mere ghost.
The tragedy, nothing could prevent,
The heartache and sorrow, badly spent,
In memory of the fallen tree, was its lament,
Memories of friends and family, still reminisced.
The colors, more somber, at the White House,
Testament of what used to live without a spouse,
A sight unseen, that once reigned, engaged in a blouse,
Designed to bring couples together, in a house.
