Shadows of Desolation

Shadows of Desolation

Title: Shadows of Desolation

In Ecuador’s embrace, chaos unfurls,
As ‘civil war’ drowns society in whirls,
Cartel thugs roam, spreading dread and fear,
While the army steps forth, resolution near.

Streets become battlegrounds, tyranny unleashed,
Crazed criminals maraud, their bloody feast,
TV station silenced, truth held at bay,
Hope flickers, as darkness sways.

A university, once a beacon of dreams,
Now stands wounded, torn apart at the seams,
Knowledge eroded, by violence’s might,
Yet in ashes, embers of resilience ignite.

Jail guards fall, prisoners escape from their cove,
As mob boss flees, beyond the reach of the law’s trove,
Justice weeps, impotent but not forever,
As courage reigns, collective will aligns together.

Tears stain Ecuador’s soil, an anguish profound,
As its people endure, against all odds, they astound,
United, they stand, their resolve unbent,
In darkest hours, their spirit resiliently sent.

A nation yearns for peace, held tight in its grasp,
With fervent prayers, optimism will clasp,
For Ecuador’s destiny, a brighter path awaits,
When the fires of turmoil, finally abates.
