NRA’s Deceptive Overture
NRA’s Deceptive Overture
In New York’s court of corruption, a trial unfolds,
Shamelessly the NRA’s rhetoric it beholds,
With no ounce of remorse or insight,
They brazenly wield gun rights’ might.
The opening statements commence with their song,
A sly attempt to sway the jury along,
They twist their words, painting a distorted scene,
In their bid to preserve what they deem supreme.
But objection arises, a voice of dissent,
Unwilling to let their falsehoods cement,
A plea for truth, for justice to reign,
That their dangerous rhetoric may not sustain.
For the NRA’s agenda, veiled in the guise of a right,
Seeks to maintain its grip with all its might,
Yet we must question the cost, the toll it takes,
When lives are lost and pain it makes.
Let us not forget the victims, the tears they’ve shed,
As NRA blurs the line between honor and dread,
In this trial, may it become clear to all,
That gun rights cannot justify a constant thrall.
So, let truth prevail in this courtroom of clout,
Exposing the NRA’s claims riddled with doubt,
May justice unfurl, stripping veils of deceit,
And our society foster harmony, not fearful beat.
