A Call for Reflection
A Call for Reflection
Time unveils shadows of a darkened past,
Antisemitism’s specter casts a gloom so vast.
In Harvard’s hallowed halls, a reckoning massive,
As serious as the war that once tore nations passive.
Students’ voices rise, echoing the pain,
Amidst the chaos, a plea for sanity, not in vain.
History’s errors, lessons left unlearned,
As prejudice festers and hearts remain adjourned.
Let empathy guide, let tolerance prevail,
For ignorance breeds strife, a destructive gale.
In the pursuit of knowledge, let us not forget,
That unity and love are virtues worth to beget.
The wounds run deep, the scars felt wide,
But from these ashes, a stronger future will abide.
Together we stand, brothers and sisters in arms,
Bound by our shared humanity, protecting against harm.
Harvard, may you rise above the murky tide,
A beacon of light, with righteousness as your guide.
For it is in education’s realm where change is found,
To break the chains that keep hatred tightly bound.
Let this reckoning be a turning point profound,
A catalyst for empathy, understanding unbound.
May harmony triumph, may love overcome,
And may peace radiate beneath a brighter sun.
