In a realm of strife and despair,
Where shadows of doubt linger in the air,
Ukraine seeks a lending hand,
From across the seas, a distant land.

A helping touch, strong and sure,
Promised by those with hearts pure,
But alas, a failed vote in the Senate,
Imperils the aid, leaving Ukraine penitent.

Yet, resilience blooms in Ukraine’s soul,
A nation relentless in achieving its goal,
For in the face of adversity, they stand united,
Their spirit unwavering, undivided.

A beacon of hope, their voices rise,
Echoing through the vast skies,
Calling for justice, for aid to be restored,
To mend the wounds, fiercely abhorred.

In the halls of Congress, the decision rests,
To honor their promises or put them to tests,
Will they let political games prevail,
Or ensure Ukraine’s success does not fail?

Yet, amidst this uncertainty, we must believe,
That compassion and empathy will yet achieve,
A future where Ukraine’s dreams are realized,
And their struggles are openly sympathized.
