A Betrayal’s Call

A Betrayal's Call

Title: A Betrayal’s Call

In staunch chambers where rebels reside,
Echoing voices implore for change,
Tory rebels urge Sunak to preside,
A plea to alter Rwanda’s range.

For Braverman warns, a poignant cry,
Of a betrayal looming in the air,
If we fail to act, it won’t pass us by,
Our virtue, lost, we must repair.

The laws of Rwanda, a cause for concern,
Human rights quashed under oppressive might,
The British people’s trust- it’s time to discern,
Take action now, restore what’s right.

Oh Sunak, don’t falter, we beseech you anew,
Stand up for justice, let your moral voice ring,
Break the chains of silence, let compassion accrue,
To betray the British people, a devastating sting.

Rwanda, embattled nation, cries out for aid,
In unity we must rise, to defend what’s just,
Let these words of plea not go unheeded,
Together, we’ll mend the breach of trust.
