A Cry for Peace

Title: A Cry for Peace

In a land torn by strife and despair,
A cease-fire plea fills the air,
But as hope flickers, darkness prevails,
As humanity’s plea once again fails.

Witnessing the bloodshed and tears,
Echoes of anguish dimming all cheers,
Human Rights Watch condemns, with dismay,
The U.S. veto that hinders the way.

Amidst this war, where innocence dies,
We cling to the belief that love never lies,
For the worth of a life should never be tossed,
In the name of politics, at such a great cost.

Let us unite and demand an end,
To the violence that continues to descend,
Hold hands across borders, for peace we’ll strive,
In the name of compassion, let humanity survive.

For every soul lost, every heart that breaks,
We must rise above the hatred’s stakes,
And the world must come together as one,
To heal the wounds and mend what’s undone.

In the face of adversity, we must ignite,
The flames of understanding, burning so bright,
May compassion guide us and justice be found,
As we pray for serenity, on sacred ground.
