A Home’s Burden
Title: A Home’s Burden
In my own abode, where love once thrived,
My adult sons dwell, rent-free in shadows.
I shoulder the weight, my efforts derived,
As their dreams flourish, mine fade and wane, oh!
With each passing day, the financial strain,
The utilities split, a heavy toll I bear.
Amidst this predicament, I feel the pain,
As my husband’s condo adds to my despair.
The burden grows heavier, straining my soul,
My resources deplete, my spirit does tire.
I cannot sustain this, it takes its toll,
My financial well-being caught in a mire.
Yet love endures, in the depths of this strife,
As I seek a balance, a brighter tomorrow.
With hopes for relief, I regain my life,
Embracing the courage to flee from this sorrow.
