A Journey from Pitch to Flames

From the green pitch, my dreams took flight
With Nottingham Forest, I soared, shining bright
But destiny had another path, unforeseen in my sight
Now a firefighter, battling flames with all my might

Once cheered as a striker, now I answer the call
To rescue lives and buildings, standing tall
In the chaos, courage reigns, brave hearts install
A different game I play, where every moment is a brawl

The crowd’s roar replaced by the siren’s wail
From the stadium’s glory to a different tale
Yet the spirit of teamwork never seems to fail
United with my squad, we conquer, without fail

No longer on the field, but still a hero’s domain
The football boots traded for a firefighter’s pain
Through smoke and heat, we persist, our duty to maintain
To save, protect, and serve, amidst the infernal reign

Inspired by this text, my journey takes flight
From footballer to firefighter, in pursuit of what’s right
A story of transformation, resilience, and might
Where my past and present converge, burning ever bright
