A Major Detour
Verse 1:
Traffic’s a mess, our troubles won’t end,
The Highway was closed and a detour must bend.
Delay and jam affect our routes,
We all have to sit in long traffic streets.
Verse 2:
To California highway 41 we cannot go,
For it’s still closed and made such a show.
The repairs must be made, that we all know,
Allowing the drivers to no longer go.
Verse 3:
Now what is the point, what do we do?
Our choices are limited with no plan in view.
We must face the reality; a major detour is due.
And this is what we have to go to.
Verse 4:
The main highway is off-limits, it’s been closed.
Forcing every driver to turn off the road.
The hopes on the horizon can no longer be exposed,
No one knows when this route will be composed.
Verse 5:
The closure brings an uproar, it’s expected.
As everyone seeks different paths, an alternative selected.
We’ll be here for awhile, our patience has been tested,
Till the engineers complete the project.
Verse 6:
An inconvenient event no one would desire,
Obstructing our intent to get higher.
We all must follow the detour and it’s wire,
For the highway must be repaired before we can acquire.
