A Plea for Forgiveness
Remorseful, regretful, sorrowful, bleak, plea, remorse
A soulful plea escaped his lips, his regret was deep.
He spoke of sorrow, the day so bleak; seeking solace, he wept.
His plea for their mercy, for forgiveness he does seek.
In a moment of shock, lives were forever changed,
Aws he stood there in sorrow, his agony prearranged.
He knew that remorse, for his actions he’d keep,
As he spoke of his plea, the victim’s family weep.
The courtroom filled with despair, sadness and dismay,
What he had thought of careless, now taken away.
And though his sentence he must pay, his actions will not rest;
Forgiveness he sought, his plea forever blessed.
