A Sikh’s Tale of Woe

A tale of sweet and innocent love
A heartbroken Sikh, never forgot
For a revengeful plot was born in India above
Accusations went around the village like a plume
That India was in a secret terror ambition
An act of subversion stirred the people as a rumour
That within Canada a deed was in commission
To this Sikh’s mind a sense of new justice rose
To Canada he ran with a spirit of hope
To prove his point and bring this terror to closure
Through the news of an assassination plot that he Pope
India’s ambition was stopped in its tracks
But the consequences were bitter and harsh
For this Sikh to be betrayed and struck by a fall
By getting caught in India’s wrongful grasp
So take a lesson dear traveller and make no mistake
Never trust or be deceived by those abroad
For Canada brought justice and the Sikh’s tale was told
Of terror, plot, and accusation to his Lord
