A Silent Night in Bethlehem
Title: A Silent Night in Bethlehem
Where joy once resided, now silence invades,
Bethlehem shrouded, a ghost town it fades.
No carols, no laughter, no twinkling of lights,
Gaza’s warfare obscures Christmas delights.
In ancient streets, history’s whispers remain,
Crushed under the weight of sorrow and pain.
The starry skies weep, casting shadows so bleak,
As hope wages battles, it’s hope that we seek.
No manger adorned, no gifts shall be given,
In darkness, a crib waits, a symbol unbidden.
Empty pews echo with the absence of praise,
As love is confined, amidst war’s violent blaze.
Yet in this stillness, a glimmer survives,
The power of unity, that oneness derives.
Faith persists, unyielding, a guiding light,
Promising solace in the blackest of night.
Let hands intertwine, embracing with care,
Renew the spirit, the love we must share.
For Bethlehem’s ghostly echoes shall cease,
In unity, let peace and hope find release.
