A Silent Void

A Silent Void

Title: A Silent Void

In a realm of power and might,
Where plans are drafted, forged so tight,
A silent void engulfs the room,
As whispers echo in the gloom.

The second in command remains unaware,
Of the Secretary’s burdensome affair,
An absent thread in the fabric of trust,
Uninformed, he stands alone, nonplussed.

From the corridors to the darkest hall,
Rumors travel but never fall,
The weight of knowledge slowly spreads,
Touching hearts like lingering dread.

The absence felt by the deputy’s side,
A void so deep, impossible to hide,
Yet, duty calls with a commanding voice,
Urging him to make a choice.

A breach in the fortress’s wall,
Unbeknownst, a shift in the thrall,
The Secretary’s hospitalization a secret kept,
A realm of trust now slightly less adept.

But amidst the shadows and whispers unspoken,
A strength arises, a coalition unbroken,
For even in absence, unity thrives,
Keeping the Pentagon’s spirit alive.
