A Symphony of Sorrow

A Symphony of Sorrow

Title: A Symphony of Sorrow

A somber tune played in the air,
As whispers of despair began to spread.
Influenza and COVID danced with flair,
Their rampant infections a tearful thread.

Holiday joys were overshadowed,
By the afflictions that ravaged the land.
Families divided, celebrations altered,
Hope flickered, like a grain of sand.

Yet in the darkness, a resilience grew,
United we stood, hand-in-hand.
Kindness, compassion, the light that drew,
A strength that we could all understand.

And so we fought against the tide,
With masks and precautions, we pressed on.
A battle waged, side by side,
Together, we’d emerge at dawn.

Flu and COVID, they may persist,
But together we’ll weather any storm.
With love, resolve, and the will to resist,
We’ll rebuild, and a new era will dawn.
