A Tangled Christmas Web
Title: A Tangled Christmas Web
Oh, the joy of Christmas time, so merry and bright,
But the thought of my brother’s dog fills me with outright fright.
His so-called “rescue” hound, a terror in disguise,
Leaving no room for peace, with barking that never dies.
The day draws near, the scent of pine fills the air,
But anxiety builds as I contemplate the affair.
A drooling, matted mess with a wild, unkempt mane,
This canine companion brings anguish, not love’s gain.
The hours spent grooming, taming his unruly coat,
Only to witness him shred presents with sheer gloat.
With muddy paws and a penchant for chaos unrestrained,
My brother’s “rescue” dog leaves our holiday stained.
I long for a serene gathering, filled with warmth and cheer,
But this canine intruder brings only dread and fear.
Oh, how I wish my brother would understand,
That his beloved dog disrupts our merry Christmas land.
So this year, I’ll stand my ground and stay away,
For I value peace and harmony on this special day.
With heavy heart, I bid my family farewell,
Hoping one day our Christmas will no longer dwell,
On the woes and woes that this troublesome dog entails.
