Agony of War

Pain fills the land like a cancer
As the Russian missiles strike in Ukraine
Ruins of home spread across the land
Leaving lives to suffer and mourn their fate
Desperation rips at their hearts
Carnage condemns them to a life of darkness

Lives were taken in a cruel moment
As despair and death follows in sorrow
Families left aching in mourning
With empty homes and shattered dreams
Hatred and agony descend in the sky
Suffering thrust upon these innocents will never cease

Ruins of homes lie forsaken
Where joy was once abound
Loved ones will now never return
As they succumb to deathly sound
Killing of the innocent funnels in despair
Where happiness will never return

Pain driven so deep within their existence
For all that was taken in grief
Lives that should have had a chance
But now are gone in an instant relief
Desperation and anger strut in their souls
As sadness wraps around their life

Nothing can restore the windows of their loss
As carnage and destruction pound the ground
Memories of loved ones fade to nothing
Only the pain and suffering will remain sound
Grieving shadows continue to loom
As all of the lives in this agony are doomed

Ruins stand where the beauty once was abundant
A scene of carnage and death stalks the land
Loss of life brings a life of desperation
As pain constantly lingers in their hands
Lost of family weigh heavy on Knees
