Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark

Alone in the Dark

I was crying almost every day,
A battle within, unseen, concealed,
Depression’s grip, relentless and gray,
Embracing shadows that refused to yield.
A mask I wore, smiles I faked,
Hiding the despair, the pain, the ache.
Wrestling demons, deep in my soul,
In the darkness, I searched for my role.

But then, a glimmer of light appeared,
A beacon of hope, a hand reached out,
A voice that whispered, wiped away my tears,
My burden shared, my silence no longer devout.
Support embraced, a lifeline extended,
Empathy and love, to me, freely rendered.
Together we stood, defying the night,
With newfound strength, we’d reclaim the light.

In unity, we cast away the abyss,
Shattering stigma, embracing grace,
Breaking the chains that held us amiss,
Finding solace, in this sacred space.
For we are warriors, resilient and brave,
Breaking free from the shackles that enslave.
In our vulnerability, we discover strength,
A testament to the power we possess at length.

So let us stand tall, hand in hand,
United in our journey, our fight,
For through connection, we’ll truly understand,
And overcome the darkness with all our might.
With compassion, we’ll banish despair,
Spreading love’s comfort, everywhere.
No longer alone, our spirits set free,
Together, we’ll conquer, and just be.
