Beneath the Bridges
Title: Beneath the Bridges
Beneath the bridges, in shadows cast,
A homeless soul seeks refuge at last,
In San Francisco’s streets, where dreams collide,
A beating of compassion, love defied.
Voices whisper, a tale untold,
Of a businessman’s fate, resolute and bold,
A brain injury inflicted by the hand,
Of a weary wanderer, misunderstood in this land.
In the courtroom, justice takes its stand,
While empathy and understanding demand,
Evidence weighed upon the scales of truth,
Freed from the burden, a verdict oh so smooth.
The jury’s decision, a resounding plea,
Not guilty, they say, and set him free,
The businessman’s pain cannot be undone,
But redemption’s seed, a chance for everyone.
For in this city, where hearts learn to mend,
The homeless man finds solace, a friend,
Within the soul of San Francisco’s embrace,
A beacon of hope, a sheltered space.
Together we rise, our bonds remain strong,
Rebuilding the spirit of where we belong,
In empathy’s embrace, redemption can start,
Mending the fractures with love in our heart.
