Beneath the Veil of Virtue
Title: Beneath the Veil of Virtue
In a world obsessed with looks,
Thinness is upheld as a virtue divine,
But beneath the surface, morality crooks,
As weight loss drugs challenge this confine.
Society’s ideal, a myth it may be,
Yet its power grips us tight,
Forcing us to strive ceaselessly,
In pursuit of a body deemed right.
Shaping our thoughts and distorting our views,
This elusive morality takes its toll,
Promoting unhealthy paths we choose,
As our self-worth becomes bound to our goal.
Morality’s facade, shattered and broken,
As weight loss drugs redefine the game,
But do they offer the freedom unspoken,
Or trap us further in a depraved frame?
Do we dare question this imposed veil,
That blinds us to the beauty within,
For bodies diverse, let’s prevail,
Embracing a world where acceptance shall win.
For true virtue lies not in our weight alone,
But in the kindness we give and empathy we share,
Let’s reshape societal norms, gradually disown,
And in unity, show reverence for all bodies rare.
