Betrayed Trust

Betrayed Trust

Title: Betrayed Trust

He broke down in tears,
As my dreams turned to fears.
My hopes shattered, my trust impaired,
I gave my contractor $100,000, he dared.

Promises forged in silver tongues,
Now revealed, as lies unsung.
He used my money, not as intended,
His debts paid off, my trust offended.

What chance do I have to right this wrong?
Reclaim what’s mine, where I belong?
A battle of justice, a plea for faith,
Against deceit, can I find a safe wraith?

Betrayed, my heart heavy with sorrow,
I seek solace for my stolen tomorrow.
In pursuit of justice, my hopes surround,
To reclaim my lost treasure, unbound.
