Capitol Chaos: A Sobering Reflection
Capitol Chaos: A Sobering Reflection
When chaos reigned within the walls,
And riotous uproar filled the halls,
Trump responded, ‘So what?’ he said,
As Pence sought safety, fear widespread.
Amidst the turmoil and the strife,
A leader’s duty, now eroded, rife,
Empathy and wisdom, nowhere found,
As division deepened all around.
No comforting words, no call for peace,
Just callous disregard, foul caprice,
Insecure became the nation’s heart,
As fragile unity was torn apart.
The echoes of a fractured land,
Where empathy’s a forgotten brand,
Leadership’s absence left a void,
Truth and justice left to be destroyed.
Oh, what a tragedy, our nation’s plight,
When those in power refuse the light,
To fan the flames, with reckless pride,
While innocents suffer, and hope subsides.
Let us learn from this dark hour,
To heal and rise, reclaim our power,
For in unity, we’ll find our way,
And ensure brighter days will stay.
