Chasing Dreams of Retirement
Title: Chasing Dreams of Retirement
In the twilight of life’s steady race,
We yearn for a tranquil resting place.
With carefree days and health secure,
Retiring at fifty-five, could we endure?
Dreams we clutch, hopes tightly held,
Seeking a land where health care’s not withheld.
A country beckons, with free embrace,
Where ailments won’t haunt our saving’s space.
No longer chained to worry’s bind,
With each passing day, peace of mind we find.
As age knocks at our weary door,
Our heart whispers, “55, let’s now explore.”
A spouse’s security, Social Security we claim,
Through life’s companionship, melodies sustain.
With golden harmonies, we face the unknown,
Navigating the tides, life’s tempests blown.
With time, our confidant, together we’ll roam,
In this new chapter, retire to our dream home.
Are we crazy to imagine this scene?
To cherish life’s whispers, where the soul convenes,
Dancing through our twilight years, hand in hand,
With courage and love, we shall withstand.
Unfolding our tales in this land of care,
Retirement’s sweet embrace, we proudly declare.
