Cries from the Court

Within the bounds, emotions ignite,
As Raptors strive, their spirits alight,
Yet the officials sway the game’s delight,
In Lakers’ favor, leaving Raptors contrite.

Whistle’s shrill echoes ‘cross the crowded space,
Unraveling dreams with each foul’s embrace,
Disrupting Raptors’ rhythm, anguished they face,
The swarming Lakers, on victory chase.

Coach’s word, fierce in righteous ire,
With disappointment, his eyes afire,
He questions the calls, the biased desire,
Hoping for justice, he’ll not soon tire.

Twenty-three free throws, in just one quarter’s toll,
Fortunes tipping, as hearts sink to a knoll,
An unfair advantage, the Raptors behold,
Injustice unfolding, as darkness unfolds.

Yet amidst the chaos, a fight still afloat,
The Raptors resolute, standing for their coat,
Seeking redemption, their passion remote,
They rally on, never losing hope.

Though wounds may sting, and bitter the pain,
The Raptors together, their strength will sustain,
For in unity, they find a steadfast domain,
To rise again, against any disdain.
