With each passing moment, the battle unfolds,
A story of courage, of legends yet untold.

The puck dances between sticks, swift and fast,
Both teams locked in an eternal contrast.
Looming shadows beckon, a twilight’s embrace,
As overtime approaches, each stride they chase.

But alas, the Avalanche’s power surges anew,
Leaving the Islanders’ hearts a shade of blue.
Though defeated, their spirit remains unbroken,
For they fought with honor, their dreams awoken.
