Death Beckons War’s Resurgence
Ceasefires avail nothing, death rings instead,
Blood and loss hail its deafening promise ahead,
Lullabies no longer lasting as peace,
Gaza’s citizens brace for the violence to cease,
Israel striking, weapons hear the call,
Inhumane fate to these awaits them all.
The clock ticks as innocents resign their faith,
Risks abound in this fear driven haste,
Dawn brings a cycle of destruction anew,
No refuge for those left with naught but woe,
Justification for these wars incessant,
Only an empty void for these desperate souls lament.
Democracy’s shout echo in the chaos they create,
Redemption for them lies far beyond their fate,
Grief and sorrow arousing in hearts of all,
Frontlines guarded with watchful pall,
Endless conflict rain down its havoc and pain,
The cries of death, a sorrowful refrain.
Silence broken by the sound of bombs in flight,
The righteous shaken, struggling to make things right,
Death toll rises as these oppressed still bleed,
Civilized peace an unattainable creed,
Harbingers of carnage gathering to the fray,
Disaster will reign in each and every day.
An uncouth response ensuring war takes its course,
No higher authority to pause the remorse,
Terror within families anguish reigns and despair,
Resilient souls ceaseless seek refuge elsewhere,
Humanity’s drowning in this raging fire,
The pack of wolves never tiring of its dire.
