He campaigns rigourously near and far,
Aiming high, for an unforeseeable star,
But DeSantis still trails behind Trump in spite,
With no hope of ever leading the fight.

He looks to Iowa for a slight change of pace,
His political dreams he hopes to retrace,
But still reaches far short of Trump without regret,
His spirit is indomitable yet.

Trump mocks DeSantis and his ambitions small,
His skills surely capable of climbing that wall,
An Iowa milestone is a long awaited win,
The only sign of victory since the very beginning.

With confidence DeSantis will carry on,
Heading further ahead in spite of the yawn,
He will undauntedly trudge through the mud,
Nothing will stop him to placing in the scrum.

Defeat and ridicule makes him push harder each day,
It’s his goals he’ll protect in every way,
He has his sights set and will npt lose track,
Yet he still trails far behind Trump in the pack.

Though the journey is being mocked and grueling,
Desantis is not smiling for he’s still juggling,
He strives with a will that’s undying and faithful,
Hoping with Iowa milestone, his fortunes more fruitful.
