Desperate
Desperate
In the heart of the nation’s turmoil,
Legal experts voice their alarm,
Trump’s desires to bend the rule,
Summoning claims wild and unsubstantiated, disarming.
With audacity and a hint of despair,
He seeks a D.C. jury attuned to his plea,
But reason prevails, rejecting his snare,
For the truth shall ultimately set us free.
His pleas, once fierce and loud,
Fall on deaf ears, blind to deceit,
Their resonance lost within the crowd,
Leaving him with no choice but to retreat.
And as the curtains begin to fall,
His desperation becomes crystal clear,
The world witnesses his mighty brawl,
But justice won’t bend, it shall persevere.
For wild and irrational cannot sway,
The scales of justice, steadfast and just,
With steady minds, the experts say,
In the face of falsehood, we shall trust.
