Heavy rains triggered the disaster, Lives broken and souls lost forever. The rescue efforts fought a losing game, Humanity in shock, full of shame.

The lost ones were never found, Emotions and feelings running around. Searching was a useless endeavor, None of the missing returned forever.

The town was like a ghostly place, People mourning every living day. Memories of tragedy all around, Search for closure could not be found.

Buried beneath the mud and debris, The missing are now one with the trees. A moment of silence followed the sound, As the earth soaked the tears and sorrow around.
