Embracing Progress
Title: Embracing Progress
In the depths of scientific pursuit,
A concept arose, bringing hope to all,
The EPA pondered a radical change,
To ban mammal testing, embrace a new thrall.
Computer models, the forward path,
Promising precision, reduction of harm,
To spare the innocent, reduce their plight,
And shield them from the horrors of a lab’s charm.
Yet debates ensued, opinions divided,
Uncertainty lingered, questions resounded,
Can simulations capture life’s complex dance,
Or shall we remain bound, to the old ways, grounded?
The EPA, a guardian of Earth’s grace,
Considered the pros and weighed the cons,
With hesitation, they decided to scrap,
The plan, for now, their conviction withdraws.
For while technology reaps progress’s cheer,
Humanity’s compassion echoes near,
Awaiting a day when simulations ring true,
To protect all life with absolute and clear.
