Embracing the Present

Embracing the Present

Title: Embracing the Present

When pondering what lies ahead,
Jamie Lee Curtis says instead,
“I don’t think about the future,
For it marks the end, the departure.”
But let us remember the truth,
That life encompasses more than youth.

In each passing moment we find,
Treasures precious, one of a kind,
Not dwelling on our imminent fate,
But cherishing the now, the great.
For the future may seem stark and loom,
But today is where dreams find room.

Carpe diem, seize the day,
In the midst of life, we should play,
Embracing every fleeting breath,
Drawing strength in life’s endless breadth.
Tomorrow’s worries may beguile,
Yet today presents a chance to smile.

So as we journey through this life,
Let’s cast away our fears and strife,
Embrace our loved ones, laugh and sing,
And let the joys of togetherness bring,
A fulfillment that will forever last,
Not simply a memory from the past.
