Fading Promises
Fading Promises
In the heart of London’s vibrant streets,
Where dreams collide with daily beats,
A mayor once vowed to bring change,
His words, a promise, held at range.
But as the shadows of the night grow long,
A grim reality begins to throng,
For within this bustling city’s core,
A thousand lives have been ignored.
Sadiq Khan, accused of leaving behind,
A trail of broken dreams, forever confined,
As crime engulfs the city’s realm,
Despair takes hold, a lasting helm.
Yet, amidst the chaos, a plea remains,
To cease the bloodshed, release the chains,
For London’s cries, they echo far and wide,
In search of safety, they strive.
But will the mayor hear their pleas,
And hold accountable those he oversees?
Or will his reign persist in vain,
As Londoners continue to face a stained terrain?
Failing, figures, murdered, mayor, Londoners, Sadiq Khan
