Farewell to Fairness
Title: Farewell to Fairness
Passenger’s burden, heavier than before,
As LNER unveils a pricing uproar,
Gone are the off-peak, the reasonable rates,
In comes the surge, a scheme that aggravates.
Once a journey of solace, now a costly trial,
Passengers left feeling betrayed, fragile,
Like Uber’s reign, a surge now in command,
Leaving travel dreams astray in shifting sand.
The trains grow crowded, their pockets grow fuller,
As LNER’s actions leave wallets much duller,
With each passing hour, fares climb higher still,
Leaving passengers helpless, against the will.
A sea of travelers, lost in this pricing maze,
As LNER’s intentions aim to amaze,
But what of fairness, of those who seek respite,
Left to bear the burden, their hopes taking flight?
Oh, LNER, hear the cry of those who lament,
The loss of affordability, now a lament,
Bring back the balance, restore trust and peace,
For the weary travelers seeking release.
Let not the surge prices be their only fate,
For fairness and compassion, it’s never too late,
May LNER reconsider, their model redefine,
To ensure all passengers enjoy a fairer line.
