Fragments of Flight
Title: Fragments of Flight
A plane soaring high, mid-flight’s bitter strife,
A sudden rupture, a chunk lost to the void,
With danger lurking, ready to deploy.
But by a twist of fate, no one lacked foresight.
Fragments of fears, a catastrophe averted,
A door jettisoned, heavens hold their breath,
In hindsight’s embrace, luck saved from certain death.
The void beside, destiny undisturbed.
Amidst the chaos, voices quivering in fright,
Silent prayers uttered, hearts racing in sync,
A surreal dance above abyssal brink.
Fortune’s favor unfolded with might.
Ode to the miracle that whispered in the wind,
A passenger’s seat, vacant and alone,
Upon which could tragedy have surely blown.
The NTSB’s words echo, reminding us, chagrined.
Incomprehension seizes all who partake,
What could have wrought horror, unleashed despair,
Now resonates as a collective prayer.
Gratitude floods hearts, a delicate ache.
Fragments of Flight, a tale we shall recall,
An unyielding reminder of life’s fragile strings,
The beauty amidst the chaos that fate brings,
An endless marvel, this extraordinary, miraculous stall.
