Social media, a foreign realm,
Where lives are lived out in a digital haze.
Selfies, filters, virtual friendships overwhelm,
Confounding older folks in countless ways.

Fashion trends, ever-changing and bold,
Older people don’t know what to wear.
From ripped jeans to neon hair, they’re told,
Kids these days are daring, without a care.

Slang and jargon, a language anew,
LOL, YOLO, and FOMO come into play.
Older folks are left feeling quite askew,
As kids these days communicate in a different way.

But amidst the confusion and the divide,
Lies a world of learning anew.
Older and younger generations collide,
Sharing wisdom and gaining a broader view.
